Too often, we’re so focused on what we want to say and staying on message, we forget the fundamentals of conversation. For truly effective communication, we must hone our listening skills to ensure we fully understand the whole message – not just the content, but the motivation behind what’s being said, the circumstances around which they’re conversing, even what gets left out of the conversation.
